I am new to so I'm just now getting into using Template Fields.
I have a Details View which contains a Drop Down List that has it's items populated from my codebehind when the Details View is in Edit Mode. However, after selecting an item from my Drop Down List, and clicking "Update" the selection is not updated, however the other Details View form values are.
I'm confused because it seems to be in the Update query correctly.
I'm not sure if I have to do something else since it's in an Edit Template? After binding to the datafield, as you suggested (it's called "Status" in my database) I had to update my Update Parameter and query.
The only problem is that ID (PK) also display in Details View. Is there a way to hide the Primary Key while keeping it working?

If I do an "Edit", when I try to click on the "Update" button it is ignored again and I have to click on "Cancel". I am trying to use as little code behind as possible.
However I do have Item Updating routines that seem to work (i.e Checking table for new login duplicates and encrypting passwords).
