I have a picture of the joe (my 1st ship) hanging next to a picture of the ramsey(my last ship). I completed my tour of duty and later went on to complete EOD training and met up with fellow shipmate John D Drennen, Big JD from Sonar Division.
Last I knew, he was stationed out on Eva Beach, Oahu Hawaii.Thank you for thinking so much of my dad and his Shipmates for putting a site like this together. I am a plank owner and served aboard the Strauss til late 1963.
